Sam and Ruth Sebabi founded Ugandan Lambs Association in Uganda initially, as the result of what the AIDS epidemic had done to both of their families. Over the months and years, children related and unrelated to the Sebabis have been helped by Ugandan Lambs Association. As the number of children grew, it was necessary to raise funds to support this cause. Consequently, in 2009, Ugandan Lambs Association USA was founded.
There are currently 67 children and still growing being supported by the program. The vision for the future of Ugandan Lambs is to be able to expand the program to sponsor more of the 2.3-2.5 million orphaned children in Uganda.
Ugandan Lambs Association USA is a Non-profit Organization with 501(c)3 status. All contributions to the Organization are tax deductible and ensures their future and cultivates long-term change in the communities of Uganda.
Additional donations are also needed for the General Fund. These funds are used for essential projects requiring immediate capital, such as the repair of the Ugandan Lambs orphanage homes, as well as the purchase of a bus which is required for transporting the children to and from the schools each term.
Future Site of New, Larger Home
Progress on building this new house has been on hold for a couple of years. The children always come first, and we look forward to working with new and current supporters to make this new house a reality.
Ugandan Lambs Association USA is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that cares for orphaned and HIV/AIDS children in Central Uganda. Through our sponsorship program we are able to provide these children with a safe and nurturing environment, facilitate and monitor their education, and promote their health and well-being, which gives the children a foundation on which to build a successful life and become leaders in their community.
